How to Give the Best Christmas Gifts Every Year
Susan ClarkShare
Every year, November hits and suddenly it’s time to think about buying gifts for the holiday season. For some you might just be waiting for the Black Friday deals in order to pick up the perfect gift. Or maybe you’ve been hesitating to buy anything. After all these years of buying new things for people, getting the same old plastic junk that you’ll have to replace next year doesn’t sound exciting.
So how can you brighten the eyes of the ones you love with a gift and put meaning into the gifts you're giving?
I have given gifts myself that I could see the receiver wasn’t as excited about it as I had thought they would be. It can be disheartening! However, there are options for your gift giving that go beyond the typical plastic or advertised gift pushed your way each year. Consider a personalized piece of art or hand crafted gift made by artisans who genuinely care about the response from the giftee!
Where can you go to get personalized gifts? Many artists offer personalized gifts. If you want to support local artists, consider joining Facebook groups with artists from the area or look to find galleries or craft shops in town. Most artists would be happy to help make your holiday season a little more bright.
Just like we are! We are a small business consisting of two artists. We decided to come together with our different backgrounds and sell our art together. Nothing puts a bigger smile on my face than creating something that will be cherished. Recently, I attended a craft fair and sold all of my handmade wood-burned ornaments. Obviously, I was happy. But hearing why they stood out for her made my day. It was nice to know they would go to a good home.
Our products vary from laser-engraved to handmade gifts. Some fun gift ideas from our website include mini liquor trees, Christmas decor and ornaments, and keychains. Plus, we are adding more to the website everyday!
I have always enjoyed a personalized gift. Adding a name, date, or meaningful saying adds a special touch. It shows that you are thinking deeply about the person you are gifting to. And it is something they will hold onto for years.
I still hold on to personalized gifts from years ago. Even from when I was a child. From handmade items to something made by a local artist. So if you are feeling pressure from the holiday season to give a great gift. Look no further!
